Saudagar Singh ( Amjad Khan) is actually the one on whose behalf those goons were after the diamonds. The bicycle belongs to Sanjay Kumar ( Tariq Khan), who is unaware that his bicycle has 25 crore rupees worth of diamonds hidden in its toolbox, and rides away with the bike before Kishorilal can see who he is. Running from them, he enters a cycle shed (a parking place for bicycles), stashes the belt in the toolbox of a bicycle, and hides out of sight. He escapes them temporarily and flies to Delhi, but finds them waiting for him as he exits the airport. The co-passenger happens to be a rich businessman named Kishorilal ( Kamal Kapoor).Īlmost immediately, Kishorilal is chased by goons who are after the diamonds. On the way, he suffers a fatal heart attack in the washroom, whilst in the throes of which, he requests a co-passenger to deliver the belt with diamonds to his son, Rajesh ( Rishi Kapoor), who works in Ashoka Hotel, Delhi, as a singer-dancer-entertainer. He carries them in a belt and takes a flight to India. The story begins with a wealthy man selling his entire estate in Africa, converting it to diamonds.
Mil Gaya Hum Ko Saathi Mil Gaya - R.D.Burman developed the title music of "Kaala Sona" (1975) to come up with the tune of this song. Burman's tune for this song was adapted from the mukhda of a song he had composed earlier - "Jeena Toh Hai Par Ae Dil Kahan" ("5 Dushman", 1973). The tune of the song was based on a Pakistani qawwali. However, it had remained unused and was later used by him in "Kasme Vaade" (1978). Burman had originally composed the tune of the song "Pyar Ke Rang Se" ("Kasme Vaade", 1978) for this film. This was Nasir Husain's last hit film as a director.Biddu, who composed and produced this song, may have used a portion of it to compose his hit song "Aap Jaisa Koi" ("Qurbani", 1980). Kajal Kiran's opening scene in this film had her dancing to the song "Dance Little Lady Dance" (1976) by Tina Charles. This was the debut Hindi film of actress Kajal Kiran.Nasir Husain had experimented with this format earlier in "Yaadon Ki Baaraat" (1973) and used it again in the film "Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai" (1981). The medley included four songs - "Chand Mera Dil Chandni Ho Tum", "Aa Dil Kya Mehfil Hai", "Tum Kya Jaano Mohabbat Kya Hai" and "Mil Gaya Humko Sathi Mil Gaya".
This album became famous for its medley song sequence lasting more than ten minutes.
